CARNEGIE LIBRARY

Our Limerick correspondent telegraphs that the Mayor of Limerick having applied to Mr. Carnegie for a grant in support of the local Free Library, the millionaire has replied by stating that if Limerick gives £350 towards supporting the library, or establishes an endowment fund producing this amount annually, he will give £7,000 to provide a Free Library building.
